DECEMBER MEETING

Christmas Luncheon/Business Meeting.

This will be a pot-luck luncheon, so please bring a covered dish and an “artsy” gift (please, no more than $10).

The drinks, plates, forks, napkins will be furnished.

New officers will be voted on and installed.  They will start their duties January 1, 2009.

Please note:  This will be our last monthly meeting.

We will have an annual Christmas Luncheon/Business Meeting in December of each year.  You are invited to attend the monthly Executive Board Meetings (2nd Monday of each month, 11:00 a.m., Jeanette Barrett Civic Room).  Look for announcements and up-to-date information in the monthly newsletters (no newsletters in June, July and August).

 

NOTE:  There will be no Board meeting this month.

ECAG CHRISTMAS ON THE COOSA ART SHOW
THEME:  Glimpses of
Elmore County

Be sure to bring your artwork to the Wetumpka Depot Players Theater on Thursday, December 11th, between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The exhibit and *reception will be on Saturday, December 13th , from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  There will be a special presentation of awards by Mayor Jerry Willis in the morning.

YOUTH ART SHOW
Sparking the Arts

The youth art show is currently on exhibit (December 1 – 7, 2008) at the Wetumpka Depot Players Theater.  The theater should be open from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  The Winners are as follows: 

Category 1 (K – 2nd Grade)

First:  Brandon Cobb “Pig in the Sun”
Second:  Lauryn Haynie “The Rascal”
Third:  Catrina Albertson “Woman with Flowers”
Honorable Mention:  Katie Roberts “Turtle Walking”

Category 2 (3rd – 6th Grade)

First:  Sara Davis “Lilies in Blue”
Second:  Hannah Costello “Practice Makes Perfect”
Third:  Ian Rooks “Falling for Auburn"
Honorable Mention:  Sullivan Tankersley “el  Pajaro”

Category 3 (7th – 9th Grade)
