The Elmore County Art Guild’s “Tallassee Now & Then” art show will open at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 8, 2018, with an opening reception. Awards will be presented during the reception at 6:15 pm in the Trustmark lobby located at 304 Barnett Boulevard in downtown Tallassee.

The show will be held in the Historic Officers’ Quarters located at 301 King Street in conjunction with Tallassee’s annual event “Tallassee NOW!” In addition to the ECAG show, the Dixie Art Colony Foundation will host two joint exhibitions at the same location. Four large murals designed and painted by Elmore County artist Kelly Fitzpatrick and his protégé Arthur Stewart will serve as the centerpiece for this event. The murals depict important milestones in the history of the city of Tallassee. The exhibition will continue on Saturday, June 9, 2018 form 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
