ABOUT US

The Elmore County Art Guild is a non-profit organization with approximately 80 members. Our members consist of people ages 18 and over who are interested in promoting and participating in creative visual arts.

We are here to:

• Provide an opportunity for artists to display their artwork for awards and profit.
• Aid in the development of skills and artistic abilities of our young people and community members interested in visual arts by providing juried shows and allied activities.
• Award scholarships to our youth.
• Offer you the opportunity to participate by becoming a member, regardless of your skill levels or area of artistic interest.

Being a member of the Elmore County Art Guild gives you as an artist or arts supporter the opportunity to be an art advocate for local artists, participation in exhibits throughout the year, and being a part of the arts community.   Membership provides you with privileges and opportunities as well as being a part of a talented group of artists, benefactors, and supporters.

As a member artist of the Elmore County Art Guild , you are given the opportunity to have a web page on the Elmore County Art Guild website to feature your artwork.

The guild sponsors the yearly ECAG Winter Art Show held in February for members 18 years of age and older.

In 2007 the ECAG  received a grant from the city of Wetumpka to help sponsor a  youth art show (Sparking the Arts).  There are plans to make this a yearly event.  The city  also sponsored another  Elmore County Art Guild show that is called the ECAG Christmas on the Coosa Art Show (Glimpses of Elmore County).  The first annual juried show was held in December 2007.  Plans are already in the making for the second annual ECAG Christmas on the Coosa Art Show.  Click on the link to see photos from the 2007 show:  Christmas on the Coosa Art Show 2007
