Alyssa L. Godfrey

Alyssa was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama.  She graduated from Alabama Christian Academy and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery in 2003.  At AUM, she started out as a Graphic Arts major, but quickly realized she wasn’t cut out for manual arts!  With the increased popularity and availability of digital photography, Alyssa was able to find a medium she truly enjoyed.

Ms. Godfrey currently works for the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools as the Director of Communications and Technology.  The job entails everything from graphic design, desktop publishing, magazine editor, database management, and technology.  Her talent for photography was realized when a coworker asked her to take photos of the Court Square Fountain as a gift to a retiring executive director.

Alyssa enjoys photographing architecture and nature, mostly.  She joined the Elmore County Art Guild in November of 2009 as a result of being referred by fellow member and grandfather, Billy Farshee.
