Barbara Fitzgerald

My name is Barbara Helms Fitzgerald. I was born on a cold January day, a long time ago. I have two children: Daughter, Suzanne; Son, Shannon...my best creations.

I attended Auburn University of Montgomery, and the University of Alabama of Montgomery. I was licensed to practice dental hygiene in June 1961. I have been a retired Dental Hygienist since November 2002. I am enjoying the extra time to spend painting.

I have enjoyed creating things all my life. I paint with oil, watercolor and pastel. My favorite medium is pastel. I love the vivid color pigment.

I am a charter member of the Elmore County Art Guild and past member of the Pastel Society of America. I am honored to say that my creations hang in homes, hotels and business offices over the United States.

I am very lucky to meet weekly with my friends Doris Bell, Judy Lea, Manjula Kumar, Alice Jo Hendrix and Bobby Carr at Bobby's Art Studio..."where the paint hits the canvas, and the fellowship is inspiring!"
