Bobby Carr

Bobby Carr was born in North Alabama. He graduated from
Russellville High School in 1947 and received a B.S.
degree in Art Education from Auburn University. During
the following years he continued his formal art education at
New York's Malden Bridge School of Art under portrait
artist Betty Warren. In California he studied watercolor and
pottery at Laguna Beach School of Art.

He accepted the position of art instructor at Wetumpka High
School where he remained for eleven years. His students won
many awards competing on the local, state, regional and
national level. Many of his students have successful art careers
of their own.

Mr. Carr has won numerous awards in juried exhibitions
within the state and his paintings can be found in many private
and public collections throughout the Southeast.
