Not having picked up a paint brush since I was 14, it was a big
surprise when 40 years later my wife gave me a starter set of oils, a 4 pack
of brushes and 3 canvas boards for Christmas. That was 3 years ago. I have not
put the brush down since and have a renewed passion for art and
new appreciation for the beautiful creation we are so blessed to be a
part of. Though I try to stretch my comfort zone with many types of different
techniques and subject matter, I primarily do landscapes and still life oil
paintings. I have learned to always carry a camera with me to capture the
surprises I am constantly coming across.
I have participated in only a few local art shows and have a
few of my paintings on exhibit at the Jasmine Hill Art Gallery.
My wife and I have been married for 36 years and have lived in
Montgomery County for 33 of those. When not painting, I am a full-time Realtor
with ALFA.
I look forward to learning more about art in general, and
becoming a more active part in the local art community.
