Carol Hickman

I have always been artistic and creative. I expressed it through decorating, sewing, quilting and other forms of fabric art.  I always wanted to learn to paint but when I graduated from college, I went to work, got married, and had children, so I didn’t have time. I did not know if I could draw or paint but I decided to try so I attended an art class at Jasmine Hill Art Gallery. I fell in love with art. Since that time I have won many awards, in Elmore and Montgomery County. Three of my paintings have been featured on the cover of Lake Martin Living Magazine. I have served as the Treasurer and Vice President of the Elmore County Art Guild and chaired the 2011 Winter Show. I am also Program Director at the Alabama River Region Arts Center. I hope to spend the rest of my life creating and supporting art.
