Darrell Warr
My interest in art began at an early age. My father was a professional sign painter with his own business in Montgomery in the 70's. While growing up around the business, I learned the trade of a sign painter and neon glass bender. Painting seems to come naturally to me as being a self-taught artist. My main interest through the years has been doing portraits. At 49 I recently joined Sacs plus the Montgomery and Elmore county art guilds. I've won the 1st place $500 purchase award at the waterfront show in Montgomery 2010. Then I won honorable mention at the winter show in Wetumpka 2011. Being disabled for most of my life, art has been the best medicine so far.
