From Montgomery: Beginning on Hwy 231 just
north of the river bridge on
the south side of the road is Redland Rd located
next to the Shell Service Station. Turn right onto Redland Road...Go 4.5 miles
(Past Fire Station on Left); turn left onto Hazel Green Drive...Go 5/10 of a
mile; turn
left onto West Deer Tract DRIVE; go 2/10th of a mile; turn left onto West Deer

COURT; go 1/10 of a mile to first house on right which is 54 W Deer Track Court.
From Wetumpka: Take 231S., pass the old rest area at top of the hill, then at
first red light at
intersection of 231S and Jasmine Hill Rd, take left onto Jasmine Hill Rd.; then
right
on Willow Springs Rd (go to end of Willow Springs Rd.), take left onto Redland
Rd,
go about 1 mile turn left onto Hazel Green Drive. Go 5/10 of a mile; turn

Show and Sale
This juried show will be on display concurrently with the
"Sparking the Arts" youth show for the period during the children's
Christmas play at the
Wetumpka Depot Theater and on Saturday of Christmas on the Coosa (December lst
through December 10th).
Reception and awards presentation will be on Sunday, December 11th, 3:00 to 4:30
p.m.
Take down will be immediately after awards presentation.

2011 Alabama Impressions Art Show
New this year: We will have a table with miniature paintings, note cards,
prints, hand painted ornaments, etc., for
sale at reasonable prices. Artists may attend to their sale items (appear with
their art)
but it is not necessary to stay the entire day as we will have volunteers at the
sale table.
This will be a fund-raising event with 20 percent going to the Guild.
The Judge of the Alabama
Impressions Art Show

Dana Bice
graduated from Auburn University Montgomery in 1994, summa cum laude, with a
B.A.
in Fine Arts (Painting emphasis). In 1996, she earned her M.F.A. in Art History
from Ohio University.
She has also studied art history at The University of North Carolina—Chapel
Hill. She has taught
art history at A.U.M., and is currently its School of Liberal Arts’ Academic
Advisor. Her juror
experience includes art exhibitions sponsored by the Emerging Young Artists (E.Y.A.)
Society, the
Elmore County Art Guild, the Montgomery Art Guild, the Selma Art Guild,
Montgomery’s Society
of Arts and Crafts, and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s
International Studies Center.
She lives in Montgomery, and creates paintings and assemblage art when she is
not chasing after her three dogs.
Wetumpka Senior
Center

Shirley Esco
and Carol Hickman went to the Wetumpka Sr. Center in November. They
used oil
pastels to paint the feathers and head of the turkeys. They were attached with
hot
glue to pine cones that Carol collected from her yard . They had a great time.

Carol Hickman
is going to be teaching at Jasmine Hill Gallery starting in January,
drawing, charcoal and pastel – depending on the student’s interest. You can call
Carol on her cell 334-391-5090 if for more info.
Aimée Harbin
will be teaching an adult (17 and up) sculpture class starting in January at
the
Creative Learning Arts Center in Prattville on Tuesday afternoon and or
Evening, depending on
the interest. Six students per class. Two hour classes- Six to eight weeks.
