1st Annual RiverFest Art Show

RULES FOR ENTRY

  1. Only original artwork will be accepted. Works must include scenes (preferably local, but not required)  with  rivers, lakes, ponds, or creeks.  Oils , watercolors, drawings, (pastels, pencil, pen, and ink), acrylics, gouache, inks, dyes, collage, mixed media artwork, and photography will be accepted.
  2. Three entries per member: $6.00 for each entry.  Membership (must be 18 years of age and older) is required to enter the art show.   Guild membership dues are $25.00 and, if you have not paid your 2010 dues, they may be paid at time on entry.
  3. All works must be dry, framed, and have wire for hanging.  (No sawtooth or any other kind of hangers will be accepted.)  Gallery wrap will be accepted without a frame if sides are painted.
  4. Entries cannot exceed 48 inches in any direction, including frame.
  5. This will be a juried show with only one general category.  Ribbons will be given for first, second, third places, and honorable mentions.  Cash awards will be given for first, second and third place winners.  The amount awarded will depend upon the money that is taken in from entries.
  6. Entries will be accepted at the Wetumpka Depot Theater on Wednesday,  April 14, 2010, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  7. The Guild will collect 20% commission on sale of artwork; half of that commission will be added to the Guild’s treasury and half will be given to the Wetumpka Depot Theater.  Price your artwork with this in mind.
  8. Reasonable care will be used at all times in handling entries, but they will not be insured against damage or theft.
  9. A reception and photo op  will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, between 10:00 a.m. and

    11:00 a.m. at Wetumpka Depot Theater.  All winners are expected to be there.

  1. The show will open at 10.00 a.m. and will close at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. 
  2. The show will be on display during the Saturday evening performance at the Wetumpka Depot Theater.
  3. Artwork will remain on display during the matinee performance on Sunday at the Wetumpka Depot Theater. 
  4. You may pick up your artwork on Monday, April 19, 2010, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.  
  5. All entries not picked up on   April 19, 2010, between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. will be taken to Doris Bell’s home studio at 4348  Jasmine Hill Road.  The owners of the entries will be charged a $10.00 holding fee. This fee is to be paid at the time of pick up. All late fee collections will be added to the Guild’s treasury.
