February 2012 ECAG Newsletter

PLEASE NOTE: The meeting will be at Coaches Corner, 203 Orline Street, downtown Wetumpka.
If you would like to eat lunch before the meeting, please be there at 11:00 a.m. Your order will
be taken between 11:00 and 11:15 a.m. No orders will be taken after this time. You may
stay after the meeting and eat if you wish. The prices on the lunch menu are very reasonable.
The business meeting will begin at 12 Noon and will end by 1:00 p.m.
The guest speaker will start the business meeting.

Please note: The take-in date is on Saturday, February 18th, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
at First Community Bank.

The show will be on exhibit Monday through Friday, February20th through February 24th.

The reception will be on Sunday, February 26th, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.;
Take Down is after the reception on February 26th, 3:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Aimée Harbin will be one of the artists featured at the reception at the Prattville Creative Arts Center, Sunday, Feb. 5th, 2-4 o'clock.
You are invited to attend.

Kitty Gilbert had a showing and painting demonstration at R. H. Kirkpatrick
Agricultural Pavilion, Laughing Dog Agility Trials. It was a three day event in
Autaugaville, AL. She also donated a 11 x 14 pet portrait to their raffle,
sold the demo painting, and got quite a few leads for some commission work.

Libby Christensen won 1st in photography in SAC's Member's Show with "The Hats Goes to New Orleans."
Congratulations, Libby!

Deborah Foster took 2nd place in SACs Member's Show in the Dimensional Works Category with the
piece called, "Spring Wave". It is made out of glass and her piece was on the
cover of the pamphlet in black and white.
