Paintings to be accepted Thursday, February 21, 2008, from 10:00 a.m.

until 1:00 p.m.

RULES:

1.  Only original artwork no more than two years old will be accepted.  Artwork

must not have been shown in previous juried Elmore County Art Guild Shows.

Artwork will include oil, watercolor, drawings (pastels, pencil, pen and ink),

acrylic, gouache, inks, dyes, collage, mixed media, photography and sculpture.

Art on gallery-wrap canvas will be accepted without a frame if the sides are painted.

3.  All 2-D works must be dry, framed, and have wire for hanging (no sawtooth hangers or

other type hangers will be accepted).  Sculpture should be dry, fully assembled and ready to

the size of the entries.  2-D entries cannot exceed 48 inches in any direction.  3-D works

cannot exceed 48 inches in height, width, or depth and must be fully assembled.  Sculpture

will be displayed on a table in the exhibit area; however, the artist is responsible for any

special display stands or covers that might be required for their artwork.

4.  There must be at least five entries in a single category for the category to be judged.

hours of 12:30 and 2:00 p.m.

8.  The Guild will collect 10% commission on sale of artwork and that commission will be

added to the Guild's treasury.

9.  Reasonable care will be used at all times in handling entries, but they will not be insured

against damage or theft.  All entries not picked up on the assigned pick-up date will be

taken to Jasmine Hill Art Gallery and the owners of the entries will be charged a $10 holding

fee.  This fee is to be paid at the time of pick up.  All late fee collections will be added to the

Guild's treasury.

10.  A reception will be held on the assigned Sunday in February and will be from 1:00

to 3:00 p.m. at PrimeSouth Bank in Wetumpka to showcase the exhibit.  Artworks
