Manjula Kumar

Manju Kumar grew up in a small town in India and completed a Masters in Hindi Language in May 1973 at a local College.  She married Dr Bipin Kumar and came to the United States in December 1973. While she was growing up, Manju always enjoyed arts and handicrafts. She enjoyed painting on her own on different materials and in different mediums such as oil, acrylic and pencil.  In 1988,  Manju took painting classes with Bobby Carr and later with Doris Bell.   Her paintings were entered in local shows.  Then she stopped painting for many years due to family responsibilities but recently started again in 2008.  Her paintings were entered in a local show and one of them was awarded a purchase award and an honorable mention.  She loves to paint nature, flowers and house pictures.
