Plans are already underway for the 2018 Sparking the Arts Youth art show. The date for the reception is May 8, 2018, at the Wetumpka Civic Center. All Elmore County students (Kindergarten through 12th grade) are encouraged to participate in this exhibit. Many awards and scholarships will be given to the winners.
The attendance at the reception increases each year with approximately 400 in attendance this year. We (Elmore County Art Guild) are hoping for more sponsors for the 2018 youth art show as we had to cut back on the awards this year due to lack of funds. Promoting the arts is one of the main purposes of the Elmore County Art Guild. If you would like to help sponsor this event, please make your check payable to Elmore County Art Guild. Also designate the check for Sparking the Arts. You may mail it to Elmore County Art Guild, P. O. Box 65, Wetumpka, AL 36092 Any size donation would be greatly appreciated.
